Among Us 2 Cancelled For Betterment

The popularity of Among Us has dominated the charts and keeps increasing day by day. Innersloth, developers of the game were already planning to create Among US 2, has ceased the development because of the spike in popularity of Among US. By looking at the popularity of AMong Us, developer shave abandoned the sequel of the game and promises to work on Among US for further improvements in the gameplay experience.

On 23rd September, developers revealed a series of sweeping updates including the cancellation of Among Us 2. “Seeing how many people are enjoying Among Us 1 really makes us want to be able to support the game and take it to the next level,” wrote the InnerSloth team.

“All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1,” Innersloth writes. “This is probably the more difficult choice because it means going deep into the core code of the game and reworking several parts of it. We have lots of things planned and we’re excited to bring new content to everyone as you continue to enjoy playing.”

Innersloth promises to add new content to make the game more interesting, said: “lots of other things planned too, we just need to prioritize and organize.” However, no details have been shared about the upcoming content of Among Us.

Developers promises major changes for Among Us in the coming year and prioritize polishing the game’s core experience.

Among Us is a multiplayer game which can be played with friends, where 4-10 players take the roles of spaceship crew members.  However, there’re few alien imposters among the crew whose objective is to blend in while simultaneously sabotaging and murdering the other players without being caught. The concept of the game is similar to Mafia, Werewolf and Project Winter. Among Us is available for PC and Mobile.
