Apple iPad Air with A14 Bionic Chip, USB C and more Launched at $599

New iPad Air Features

The company geared up with new iPad Air that looks similar to that of iPad Pro. Air has a full-screen flat side design that supports the second-generation Apple Pencil. The tablet measures 2,360 × 1,640 pixels with a rear camera and 10.9-inch retina display. It has a realistic display, colour gamut P3 support, anti-reflective coating and fully laminated support.

The new iPad Air doesn’t have a Face ID instead the new tablet has an integration of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor into the power button. 

Also, iPad Air is powered by a brand new A14 Bionic chipset that promises a 30-40% increase in graphics performance. It also becomes the first device to experience the power of new chipset. Apple is likely to integrate this processor in an upcoming iPhone 12 series. Apple claims, new iPad Air offers 40% faster CPU performance and 30% faster GPU performance as compared to the previous generation iPad Air 2019. The processor A14 is based on the 5nm process technology and the SoC has a 6-core CPU with 4 high performance and 2 high-efficiency cores, and a 4-core GPU.

New iPad Air offers a single 7MP front camera with f / 2.2 aperture and the ability to record 1080p 60FPS video. At rear, you get a 12MP camera with f / 1.8 aperture, capable of shooting 4K video at 60FPS and slow-mo video up to 240FPS. iPad Air possesses other iPad Pro features like support for Magic Keyboard, USB-C, better camera performance, and faster LTE performance.

The new iPad Air is priced at Rs 54900 and Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at Rs 66900 ($599).
