Apple Unveils New PRIDE Edition Bands: Supports LGBTQ

Every year, LGBTQ celebrates Pride Month (JUNE) annually to honor themselves, their works and achievements in the past. To recognize themselves as an individual with equal rights to society, the community come together in Pride Month.

To support the community and celebrate among LGBTQ, Apple unveils their Two New Pride Edition watch bands, specifically named as “Pride.”

Apple celebrates “Pride” month every year and began releasing new bands for the community since 2017.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO, is also a part of the community and plays his role to support the Community however he can.

The company has also shown their support in previous few years, releasing new rainbow colored “Pride” bands and flags.

The New Apple Edition Band, designed beautifully with rainbow colour forged on the entire strip of band. New Pride bands “assembled by hand from individual strips of colored fluoroelastomer. The strips are then machine die-cut and compression molded together. This process results in subtle variations in the wavy rainbow design, making each band artfully unique,” says Apple.

Apple also revealed a new Nike Pride Edition Sport Band, following the same rainbow colored dots located inside the holes of the band.

“Through this effort, Apple and Nike are proud to support LGBTQ organisations doing vital advocacy and community-building worldwide, including GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum, The National Center for Transgender Equality, and ILGA World, which brings together more than 1,500 member organisations in more than 150 countries and regions,” Reads the Apple blog post.

Both the bands are now available in two sizes and priced at $49. Apple promise to add more new updates and design to match the existing ones. Stay Tuned.
