GDC Summer will be Digital this year, said officials.
Game Developers Conference scheduled to take place from 16-20th March got postponed because of Corona Virus pandemic. Later, the event was rebranded as GDC Summer and set to take place from 4 to 6th August.
Officials from GDC recently announced the news about GDC Summer digital campaign from 4-6th August writes- “As so many game developers embrace remote working arrangements and online collaboration, we’re inspired to adapt and deliver GDC in a digital format that will be available to everyone with an internet connection, and will work hard to deliver the high-quality content and networking opportunities GDC attendees have come to expect.” Read the blog post here.
Game Developers Conference happens annually in San Francisco every year. However, Corona Outbreak has led to cancellation of many such events including E3, ComicCon, QuakeCon and others.
In order to avoid the physical contacts, this year GDC will take place as a digital event from 4th – 6th August 2020.
