Sony Reveals PS4 Games That Won’t Work on PS5

There is not much time left until 12th November, the launch of Sony’s biggest next-gen console PlayStation5.  PS5 is the most anticipated console of 2020 along with Xbox Series X announced back in 2020. Fans are already hyped up to experience next-gen gaming.

Sony knows how to tease us in this exciting phase. The company has already announced all the essential details of PS5 including release date, costs and Specification along with PS5 launch games.

Sony explains the PS5 backwards compatibility in detail, revealing the PS4 games that won’t work on PS5. We are all familiar with the backwards compatibility function of PS5. Sony shared a list of PS4 existing game that won’t at all run on PS5 while “some PS4 games may exhibit errors or unexpected behaviour when played on PS5 consoles.” PS5 supports 4000 PS4 games which is an “overwhelming majority,” but gamers may encounter few errors on PS5 console while playing PS4 games.

PS5 Backwarcompatibility details by Sony explains the limitation of playing PS4 games on the next-gen console. It includes unavailability of share menu within PS4 games running on the PS5, the screenshot will need to be generated using the create button on a DualSense controller. PS4 tournament feature is also not compatible with the PS5, and game companion apps.
