The legal conflict between giants -Epic Games and Apple/Google are all over the Internet. Epic sued Apple/Google, following the removal of enormously popular video game Fortnite from their Appstore/play store. The future of Fortnite on Android and iOS app store still remains unclear, until the official judgement is passed.

Fortnite has been removed completely from the Android and iOS store. However, players who have downloaded the game previously can still enjoy Fortnite on their devices.

Epic recently announced the Fortnite Season 2-Chapter 4 to kick off on August 27, 2020. The imminent launch of Season 4 by Epic Game is to rally its player base to complain about the game’s removal from its store. Fortnite Season 4 won’t be available on iOS devices. As per reports, players having iOS devices can’t play Fortnite Season 4. Epic released a statement specifying “Players on iOS devices will be left behind on Chapter 2 – Season 3 while everyone else jumps into the Chapter 2 – Season 4 launch on August 27.”

If you have pre-downloaded Fortnite game on iOS, you can still enjoy the Season 3 13.40 version along with players having the same. Cosmetics purchases are said to work on all devices. Also, players on other platforms can move onto the next Season. This is such a tease for iOS players.

Will Fortnite Season 4 Run on Android devices?

Yes, definitely you can enjoy the Fortnite Season4 on your Android devices. Players can download the game directly from the Epic Games store on Android. Samsung users can also download it directly from Samsung galaxy Store. Epic is providing a discount on V-bucks to players installing Fortnite using above methods. Android players have means outside of the Google Play Store to acquire and update the game, so they can still enjoy the next Season on Android devices.

Epic vs Apple

Epic implemented its own in-app payment system to avoid the 30% cut by Apple store (Apple takes 30% cut of sales from its compulsory payment system). This new update allows the player to buy in-game currency at a lower rate if bought directly from Epic Store.

Following the Epic’s move, Apple removed the enormously popular video game ‘Fortnite’ from their App store for violating their in-app payment guidelines, further preventing iPhone users to download the game on iOS devices. This escalated a dispute between these two major companies.
