Tencent’s enormously popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile has been banned in India recently. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India has banned PUBG mobile with 118 Chinese apps due to tension over Chinese provocation in Ladakh. The news of PUBG Mobile Ban in India dropped a bombshell on Indian PUBGM enthusiast. It became a trending sensation on social media quick as a flash after the announcement.
However, India is not the only country that received a ban, there’re a few other countries where PUBG Mobile is banned. Let’s have a look at them:
PUBG Mobile is banned in Iraq since last year due to psychological effect and negative impact on society. Government of Iraq banned PUBG mobile along with Fortnite and several other games because of bad social effect on the public. They said the game poses a huge threat to the country’s security.
Jordan is popularly known for ancient monuments also banned PUBG mobile following the ban in Iraq. Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Jordan announced the ban on PUBG Mobile due to the adverse and terrific effect of a game on society.
PUBG Mobile was banned in China as the game contains blood and gore. To protect the demise of PUBG Mobile Tencent changed the name of game to Game for Peace ensuring that the title met all the requirements set by the government.
Lastly, India recently banned PUBG Mobile. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India banned PUBG Mobile due to threat to the national security and privacy of the citizens of India, said “they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”.
