Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021: Format, Schedule and Everything

Krafton recently announced a major Battlegrounds Mobile India Esports tournament only a few days after the launch. As promised, the South Korean company has committed to expanding the Esports ecosystem in India. BGMI has been setting records since its release, “The Launch party” for streamers garnered over 17.5 million views alone.

Considering the huge success of the last event, Krafton revealed a brand new public tournament “Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.” Here’s everything you should know about the upcoming tournament.

BGMI Series 2021 Format

The registration for BGMI Series will open soon for all Indian gamers. Keep an eye on the official Battlegrounds Mobile India Esports website.

The upcoming new open BGMI tournament will be broadcast on the game’s official YouTube/Facebook page.

The format for BGMI Series 2021:

In-game Qualifiers

BGMI Series 2021 in-game Qualifiers will begin on 2nd August at 12 AM IST and last until 8th August at 12 PM IST. Registered teams will play up to 15 online matches. Only the top 1024 will qualify for the next round. Results will be evaluated based on 10 best results out of 15 matches. Gear up now and start practicing with your squad.

Online Qualifiers

The online qualifier rounds takes palce in three stages:

  1. The first qualification round (17th August – 22nd August) lasts for 6 days. Only half the team(512)will move to next round.
  2. The second qualification round is of 11 days(26th August – 5th Sept). Similarly, only half teams (224) will make to the third round
  3. The third qualification round lasts 4 days(Sept 9th – Sept 12th). In this round, top 224 qualified teams will compete alongside 32 invited teams for the top 64 quarter-finals spot.

Quarter-Finals

  • The BGMI Series Quarter-Final round starts from 16th Sept and ends on 26th Sept.
  • In these 10 days, 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups. The top 4 teams from each group will advance to next round.
  • Also, the losing 32 teams will battle for two remaining spots. The teams with the highest kill points will advance to the semi-final round.

Semi-Finals

BGMI Series 2021 Semi-Final begins on 30th Sept and last until 3rd October. Here, selected 24 teams will compete for top 16 spots in the grand finals.

Grand Finals

Grand finale starts from 7th Oct and ends on 10th Oct.

The most awaited Battlegrounds Mobile India grand finale will feature Top 16 best Indian teams competing for the ultimate championship title and prize money of ₹50,00,000.

Check the Requirements 

  • Players must be the citizen of India
  • Only Smartphones are allowed. Use of emulator, tablets and other devices is strictly prohibited
  • All players participating in the tournament should be above level 15 and rank Platinum V or above at the time of registration.
