Call of Duty: Warzone sets another record as the game crossed 100 million players. This free-to-play popular battle royale has created a benchmark with 100 million downloads as compared to other BR games.
Call of Duty: Warzone achieved this milestone one year after its release in March 2020. This spin-off game debuted on March 10, 2020, as free to play battle royale game for PC. It became immensely popular in no time, creating several records within one month of its release.
The game hit a massive milestone, surpassed 100million players in just 13 months. While Apex Legends took over two years to gather the same amount of players, achieved just a week ago.
Activision shared the news on Twitter thanking each and every player, wrote “100 million players and counting. Thank you all for dropping in. It wouldn’t be #Warzone without you.”
Warzone is a compelling game that features some popular COD maps, weapons, modes along with intense gameplay. This Battle Royale game supports 150 players dropped on a single map to battle and emerge victorious. The game also features cross-platform support which makes it more amazing.
Call of Duty: Warzone has proved itself already and still breaking records. The game crossed around 6 million players in the first 25 hours of release and it doubled the figures after 4 days with 15 million players within a week. While Apex Legends crated around 3 million players in the first day and 50 million players in a month after release.
COD: Warzone is moving up way faster than Apex legends comparatively. The growth of the game is unbelievable as compared to other BR games like Fortnite & Apex Legends. Activision’s effort to add new content and offer a safe gameplay environment is one of the reasons behind the game’s enormous playerbase.
