Game Developers Conference 2020 Postponed due to Corona Virus

Game Developers Conference (GDC) is an event where Game enthusiast from all over world come together to witness the new games, console and news about it. According to recent reports, GDC 2020 event is postponed because big companies like Sony, Microsoft and Facebook has withdraw their name from list because of Corona virus. GDC was set to take place on 16th March – 20 March.

GDC officially confirmed this news in a blog post that reads – “As everyone has been reminding us, great things happen when the community comes together and connects at GDC. For this reason, we fully intend to host a GDC event later in the summer. We will be working with our partners to finalize the details and will share more information about our plans in the coming weeks.”

Hence, GDC 2020 won’t take place in March. They posted the blog after the recent incident of Corona virus reported in California. Corona Virus have led to cancellation of many such events and tournaments.

Officials said they will refund the amount for hotels and passes to attendants. Fans were eagerly waiting for new next gen console reveal. They expected Microsoft to reveal more details about Xbox Series X.
