Minecraft has a lot of mobs in-game. A panda is a rare neutral mob found in the jungles. They have a randomized personality when they spawn, and the brown variant is the rarest. Learn how to breed a brown panda in Minecraft here.
Finding Pandas
You must first locate a pair of pandas to breed them. Pandas spawn in groups of 1–2 at the surface on grass blocks with at least two-block space above them in jungle biomes with a light level of 9 or higher. Bamboo Jungles (80/160 spawn probability) and Bamboo Jungle Hills (80/130 spawn chance) have a greater spawn rate for Pandas.
As a result, finding the bamboo jungle habitat is the greatest way for players to find a panda. It spawns most often near the Taiga biome or near extreme hill biomes. However, because this may take a long time, gamers may want to utilize a seed that creates a bamboo jungle instead.
How to breed panda  Â
Pandas are the only animal with special breeding conditions in Minecraft. To enter love mode, players must place at least 8 bamboo blocks within a 5 block radius of both pandas. After that, they mate and have a baby panda after being fed bamboo. 1–7 experience is dropped after successful breeding.
If there aren’t enough bamboo blocks in the area, the Pandas will just sit and consume the bamboo instead of breeding. Furthermore, if two pandas are fed too close together, they will bleat and become antagonistic.
How to breed brown panda
Pandas are born with a personality that is randomized, with the normal version being the most common and the brown variant being the rarest. Only 5% of pandas are born as newborns.
When two pandas breed, each of their offspring inherits one of their genes, which they then mix at random as their primary and hidden genes. Each of the baby’s genes has a 1 in 32 chance of mutating into another gene.
Traits | Personality actions | Appearance |
Normal | Do not have unique personality actions. | have a frowning face |
Lazy | Often lie on their backs. They are slower than normal pandas, making them the slowest land mob in the game. | have a smiling face |
Worried | Usually stays away from players and hostile mobs | have ‘puppy’ eyes similar to tamed wolves |
Playful | Likes to jump and roll around at all ages | have their tongues out |
Weak | As a baby, sneezes more than other types of panda | have teary eyes and snotty noses |
Aggressive | Will attack when provoked and becomes Hostile when another panda in the area is attacked | have angry eyebrows and a tight frown |
Brown | Do not have unique personality actions, but are brown and white instead of the usual black and white. | have brown and white fur and a frowning face. This is the rarest variant. |
The only way to get a brown panda is through random mutation.
Because Brown is the rarest, players must rely on chance mutations to obtain it. The fastest way to gather as many pandas as possible is to lure them in with bamboo and mass breed them.
