Despite all the setbacks, the title managed $2.6 billion in revenue in 2020 alone. Overall revenue of PUBG Mobile since its inception is $4 billion. PUBG mobile is remarkably successful. Recently, Krafton Inc revealed their new plans for 2021 – A new upcoming game like PUBG Mobile.
The news surfaced from Bloomberg, after the CEO of Krafton, Kim Chang-han, unveiled the Krafton’s plan for 2021. Kim said the company will offer its IPO around mid to late 2021. The IPO of Krafton Inc can be valued at a whopping 30 trillion, as per reports from Eugene Investment & Securities Co.
New Game like PUBG Mobile
According to Kim, Krafton will soon launch a new game like PUBG Mobile. We have heard this before too, the rumours surrounding around PUBG Mobile 2.0, the sequel.
Talking about PUBG Mobile 2.0, infamous PUBG Dataminer named ‘PlayerIGN’ said: “PUBG just confirmed that they’re working on PUBG 2.0 and PUBG Mobile 2.0.”
Krafton’s plan is not only limited to mobile, but the company is also planning another PUBG based title for PC and consoles, revealed Kim. There’s also a tease about a horror survival game based on the PUBG universe set in three centuries into the future. The title is expected to launch in 2022.
Apart from gaming, Krafton’s planning to step into media platforms like movies, drama and animation. A new animated show by the company will soon launch out on streaming services.
