Sony Entertainment’s Next-gen console PS5 is the most anticipated console of 2020 along with Xbox Series X. It was announced back in 2019 and scheduled for release in this year 2020. Sony also revealed the PS5 logo during the CES 2020 in this first month of this year.
Mark Cerny (PS5’s system architect ) unveiled the specifications of upcoming Sony’s next-gen console and there are many surprises.
According to reports, PlayStation5 will consist of solid state drive like Xbox Series X but will have less storage as compared to Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. More additional SSD slots will be reserved for expansion and you can add any NVMe SSD card and external USB hard drives.
The other specifications which was unveiled last year in 2019 says it include an eight core Zen 2 CPU, with each core running at 3,5GHz. The GPU will be 10.28 TFLOPs, running 36 CUs at 2.23GHz, while the PS5’s RAM will be 16GB of GDDR6 (256-bit).
CPU will be 8core/16core threads & AMD’s Next gen GPU features 12.6tf to 14.2tf ,fully backwards compatible with PS4 and PSVR hardware. Playstation5’s improved GPU will support real-time ray tracing creating incredible realistic lighiting effects.
