PUBG Mobile India: Indian Government Approves the Relaunch

PUBG Mobile’s Journey in India has been very influential in the growth of the Gaming Industry, Esports ecosystem, and several other places. The game itself created a benchmark globally as well as in India. However, ever since the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, the game seems to lose its spark and excitement, as the wait gets longer. 

The Indian government banned PUBG Mobile along with many other apps in September 2020. PUBG Mobile holds a tie with Chinese giant Tencent, which killed the game in conflicts between two nations. This surprise news left millions of players and fans devastated last year. Ever since the players have been waiting eagerly.

Fortunately, on 12th November, PUBG Corp made a major announcement teasing the revival of PUBG Mobile with region-specific version ‘PUBG Mobile India’. The trailers, website, official accounts, job postings and a few more news surfaced on the Internet, which indicates the revival of the game back in India. 

PUBG Corp also cut ties with Tencent to seek the Indian government’s permission to launch PUBG Mobile India. Later, Krafton’s Head of corporate development, Sean Hyunil Sohn, revealed the uncertainty of the PUBG Mobile India relaunch because the Indian government hasn’t approved it yet.

Indian Government Approves the Relaunch of PUBG Mobile India

With a recent piece of good news coming from Indian PUBG Mobile influencers and creators, reveals the game has got a green signal from the Indian Government regarding the launch of PUBG Mobile India. Godnixon, pro PUBG player and creator shared a YouTube video titled “PUBG Mobile India Update! Government Approved” announcing the good news to fans and PUBG enthusiast in the country. Nixon said, “According to sources, the government has given the green signal for the comeback of PUBG Mobile. However, the exact release date nor the month haven’t been finalized, but the game will indeed be returning. Some of the popular content creators, including Ghatak, had posted stories, dropping hints regarding the return.”

Meanwhile, Scout, an Indian professional Esports player also stated about the revival of PUBG Mobile India in his recent stream.

Though the word has been spread now, there’s no confirmation from the officials yet. The date and Trailer of the game are yet to be revealed. Stay Tuned for more updates.
