Good News for Indian PUBG Mobile Fans!
The enormously popular Battle Royale Game PUBG Mobile was banned along with 118 Chinese apps in India due to privacy concerns and ongoing tension between India and China. The news broke the Intenet disappointing PUBG Mobile fanbase in India. However, the good news recently surfaced is PUBG Mobile may return soon in India.
The parent company of PUBG Mobile -PUBG Corporation announced to break ties with Tencent Games that handle PUBG Mobile in India and take control in their own hands. Means Tencent Games will no longer handle its PUBG Mobile India franchise, said the South Korean company in a blog post.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India banned 118 Chinese apps, said the apps were engaged in activities “prejudicial to Sovereignty and Integrity of India, Defence of India, Security of State and Public Order”.
South Korea’s Bluehole is looking into whole ban issue and will take over PUBG Mobile India soon which may result in Unban of Game. The company said, “PUBG Corporation fully understands and respects the measures taken by the government as the privacy and security of player data is a top priority for the company. It hopes to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution that will allow gamers to once again drop into the battlegrounds while being fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations.”
They added “In light of recent developments, PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorise the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country. As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localised and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.”
PUBG Corporation promises to work with the Indian government to find a solution and eliminate all the causes of banning PUBG Mobile.
