Sony PlayStation5 is the most anticipated console of this year along with Microsoft Xbox Series X. It’s set to launch during Holiday 2020. As we get closer to release date Sony keeps revealing the details about PS5.
According to recent reports, SONY PS5 will support fully backward compatibility, says upcoming console will support an “overwhelming majority” of the 4,000-plus existing PS4 titles. It’s a great news for gamers having PS4.
In a recent update post Sony writes –
“A quick update on backward compatibility — With all of the amazing games in PS4’s catalog, we’ve devoted significant efforts to enable our fans to play their favorites on PS5, We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5.”
Mark Cerny (the system architect of PS5 )previously unveiled us the hardware specifications of upcoming consoles before the Sony’s text update. Sony informed that older PS4 titles may run smooth on newer console :
“We’re expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions,” the company adds. “We’re currently evaluating games on a title-by-title basis to spot any issues that need adjustment from the original software developers.”
“We have already tested hundreds of titles and are preparing to test thousands more as we move toward launch,” the company says. “We will provide updates on backward compatibility, along with much more PS5 news, in the months ahead.”
The confusion has cleared now and the gamers are looking forward for much details in coming days. Xbox and PS5 fans are hyped up to try a new upcoming console its a question which is going to be the better and most successful next-gen console.
