The revival of most popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile in the country has almost forgotten now, as developers fail to bring back the game in India soon after the announcement. The wait keeps getting longer day by day and relaunch has been delayed indefinitely.

After the ban of PUBG Mobile in early September, fans created a scene on social media. The game was announced on 12th November 2020. Since then fans have been excitedly anticipating the release . However, lack of update, absence of details regarding the trailer and the release date of the game, has almost killed the hope and excitement of fans in the country. Few have given up while many are still holding their horses.

About PUBG Mobile

PUBG Corp announced the revival of PUBG Mobile in India on 12th November 2020. Later several news and events related to game surfaced on the Internet which sparked up the hope among Indian fans. An official website and social accounts opened on YouTube & Facebook. 

The South Korean company invested $100M to ensure the development of the game in India including Esports and also registered as the country’s private limited company. Along with a new operation team, two new Indian Directors (Kumar Krishnan Iyer and Hyunil Sohn) were recruited, . They also sought the Indian government’s permission to relaunch the game.

AS per reports, The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) said the government will ensure the privacy policies of the game before granting the permission to relaunch the game in India.

It might be delayed till march. The lack of information about the game since the last few months have made things worse.

Expected Changes

Although we do not know about the release date yet, several speculations and leaks surfaced regarding the changes in the game. It focuses very much on young audiences promising to offer a friendly and fun gameplay environment to users.

The game will feature ‘Virtual Simulation Training Ground’ instead of a battleground. And, Green Hit Effects instead of blood effects in this new version. PUBG mobile Indian version will have clothed character instead of a naked one in the Global version. Also, players will have a restricted playtime “game-time restriction” (6hours max) in a day so that they can focus on other tasks too.
